The Near Northwest Neighborhood organization works tirelessly to build inclusive, sustainable community initiatives. Kathy Schuth, Jill Joachim,  André North, and Jeff Stanifer have offered practical support by donating space, connecting us to allies, and strategizing with Feed a Friend to continually improve our shared work. With thei NNN's aid, we've been able to make the fridge a reliable resource and keep open lines of communication with neighbors.

Cultivate Food Rescue is a local nonprofit committed to reducing food waste and hunger. They provide Feed a Friend with hundreds of pounds of food per week that our volunteers use to stock the fridge. With Cultivate's aid, we are able to refill the fridge five days a week.

This Awesome Foundation offers microgrants to support local projects in business, arts, and entrepreneurship. Awesome Foundation grants have funded electrical work, the shed's contruction and expansion, and the purchase of a freezer.

Provision Builders is a reputable family-centered business known for thoughtfully-designed homes. With leadership and enthusiasm, they gathered a team of local builders to revamp the shed in 2026. Provision Builders donated building materials, time, and the talents of their team to construct a re-envisioned shed to house the fridge, freezer, and pantry. 

Herrera's is a growing business that was instrumental in constructing the current version of the shed. Herrera's Construction donated building materials, time, and the talents of their team to construct a re-envisioned shed to house the fridge, freezer, and pantry. 

Reliable Roofing is a local business known for their professionalism and integrity. Reliable Roofing donated building materials, time, and the talents of their team to construct a re-envisioned shed to house the fridge, freezer, and pantry. 

Big C Lumber offers building materials and solutions to area contractors. Big C Lumber furnished the team with crucial resources for a sturdy, sustainable shed.

Beam Team Electric are trusted electricians in the South Bend area. Beam Team Electric updated the electrical work so that we could safely serve more neighbors by adding a community freezer. 

Andrew Mick is a carpenter in Michiana who volunteered his expertise and time to make the fridge projet a reality. This business consulted on design and provided labor to build the shed that housed our fridge and pantry from 2023-2026. .
